Interview with Diet time

Below is the interview with Diet time, done 21 July 2009 Tuesday, 17:00:00 your time.
Are you overweight? Or have you ever been overweight?
Absolutely yes
If you are overweight, what do you think is the reason FOR YOU?
I eat tooooo much and don't exercise much
Are you on a diet at the moment?
As usual :)
What does diet mean for you?
a- Not to eat and starve myself.
b- Cutting the calories.
c- Cutting the calories plus increasing the exercise.
d- Getting all the things my body needs with less calories.
e- Getting all the things my body needs with less calories plus increasing the exercise.
f- Eating as usual but increasing the exercise.
g- Healthy life style.
h- Your own definition. Please type.
Have you ever managed to lose weight, but then gain again? If yes, why and how did you get back some of the weight?
Yo-yo dieting :) I lost 20 - 30 - 35 kg in different times and I gained again because when I stop eating vegetables, fruits, etc., I start to eat lots of pizza, hamburger.
If you have ever succeeded to achieve your diet goals, what is it that you`ve done right?
Eating healthy food in suitable amount that my body needs and exercise. I have only succeeded when I was under control of my nutritionist. I can't control myself...
Please tell us 3 tips for a successful diet. We are all ears.
- Don't skip meals, eat 6 times a day (3 for main meals, 3 for fruit break)
- Don't give up. Be patient. You didn't gain all these weight in a week, don't think they will vanish in a week!
- Don't believe in very low calorie diets.
What are you observing in other dieters as mistakes?
- People usually stop eating bread as soon as they start to a diet.
- Not exercising
- Eating very very low calorie meals
Please tell us some important mistakes you did in your diets. We can learn from them.
I can't continue for a long time. When I start to eat something I shouldn't, diet is over.
How should your close ones treat you as a dieter? Should they better be quiet on the subject, or should they push you?
They should better be quiet, because I get very nervous when someone says "Aren't you on diet? Why are you eating this pasta" Because I'm sick of explaining them "there are food exchanges, I don't eat bread when I eat pasta"
How do you cope with eating less? For some people it really hurts and is like hell. For some others, they enjoy the light feeling. How about you?
I feel fine (until someone brings cookies to the office!!!)
Could you warn us about some diet methods you got involved with that did not work?
- Acupuncture
- Diet pills
- Very low calorie meals
Could you tell us some diet methods you got involved with that did work.
- Eating healthy under a nutritionist's control.
Where do you stand on the subject of exercise?
Everybody must exercise for a healthy living (Except me !!! I hate to exercise)
