Below is the interview with Kodi, done 20 April 2010 Tuesday, 12:36:54 your time.
 Are you overweight? Or have you ever been overweight?
Right now I am overweight.
 If you are overweight, what do you think is the reason FOR YOU?
While I was pregnant I didnt watch what I was eating & then after my son was born, I was dissapointed that the weight hadnt come off, & i became depressed. So i kept over-eating.
 What do you think is the reason FOR OTHER OVERWEIGHT PEOPLE?
Lack of exercise & over eating. But some do have medical conditions that cause them to gain weight, or prevent them from losing weight.
 Are you on a diet at the moment?
Im always on some sort of diet.. =/
 What does diet mean for you?
a- Not to eat and starve myself.
b- Cutting the calories.
c- Cutting the calories plus increasing the exercise.
d- Getting all the things my body needs with less calories.
e- Getting all the things my body needs with less calories plus increasing the exercise.
f- Eating as usual but increasing the exercise.
g- Healthy life style.
h- Your own definition. Please type.
To me it means 'C' plus drinking more water & cutting out sugary drinks like soda & juice.
 Do you expect your diet to be successful, if so why? If not why?
Im not sure what to expect, it started off good & i lost 7 pounds, now i'm not losing anything.
 Have you ever managed to lose weight, but then gain again? If yes, why and how did you get back some of the weight?
I lost about 20 pounds almost 3 years ago. Then i gained it back plus some when i got pregnant.
 If you have ever succeeded to achieve your diet goals, what is it that you`ve done right?
I stuck with it & didnt give into my sweet tooth.
 Please tell us 3 tips for a successful diet. We are all ears.
-Portion Control ; eat what you want, but in smaller portions
-Drink Water! It should be your favorite drink.
-Add in Exercise. Just a little bit can go a long way in terms of shaping & toning your body.
 How should your close ones treat you as a dieter? Should they better be quiet on the subject, or should they push you?
I think that they should show support & push me when i need it. But they should also know boundaries.
 If you are living with others, how do you handle the problem of you having special diet meals while others have their usual meals?
I eat what they eat, just smaller portion. I know my limits & I dont gorge myself.
 How do you cope with eating less? For some people it really hurts and is like hell. For some others, they enjoy the light feeling. How about you?
It's hard at first. I like the light feeling, but i always want more. I just have to stay in control.
 Could you warn us about some diet methods you got involved with that did not work?
All fruit diet. As much as you want, whenever you want. The problem is, fruit breaks down into sugar. So you're depriving yourself of all the other groups, and eating all sugar. Might as well eat candy all day.
 Could you tell us some diet methods you got involved with that did work.
Balanced meals, lots of water, & more movement. Dont just sit on the couch & snack on chips, take a walk, play a game with the family. Get moving!
 Where do you stand on the subject of exercise?
I think its important in any lifestyle. But to tone, build muscle & sculp your body, its crucial to add in exercise.
 Is there anything you`d care to say about diets?
Just be persistant & dont give up. It will pay off in the end. Just know that healthy eating & exercise go hand in hand. They work better together.
