 Are you overweight? Or have you ever been overweight?
 If you are overweight, what do you think is the reason FOR YOU?
emotional eating, increased portions, consuming too much starchy sugary foods, and lack of exercise
 What do you think is the reason FOR OTHER OVERWEIGHT PEOPLE?
probably denial about amount of intake
 Are you on a diet at the moment?
 What does diet mean for you?
a- Not to eat and starve myself.
b- Cutting the calories.
c- Cutting the calories plus increasing the exercise.
d- Getting all the things my body needs with less calories.
e- Getting all the things my body needs with less calories plus increasing the exercise.
f- Eating as usual but increasing the exercise.

 Do you expect your diet to be successful, if so why? If not why?
I always start off feeling motivated and I do well initially, but when I hit the first plateau it's downhill after that
 Have you ever managed to lose weight, but then gain again? If yes, why and how did you get back some of the weight?
yes, lost 30lbs in 2007 and gained it all back in 2008. Just completely went back to old habits (due to emotional eating caused by stressful job)
 If you have ever succeeded to achieve your diet goals, what is it that you`ve done right?
combination of healthy eating habits and exercise, coupled with weekly visits to a nutritionist
 Please tell us 3 tips for a successful diet. We are all ears.
1) accountability partner (nutrition and exercise), 2) ease of preparation and variety of meal plans, and 3) one treat a week/bi-weekly
 What are you observing in other dieters as mistakes?
portion sizes too huge
 Please tell us some important mistakes you did in your diets. We can learn from them.
losing discipline after a slip. not diarizing continuously. giving up too easily
 If you never managed to get thin until now, why do you think? A criticizing mother? Pizza Hut?
unable to resist sweets. well-meaning but sabotaging mother! self-defeatist attitude
 How should your close ones treat you as a dieter? Should they better be quiet on the subject, or should they push you?
if it's my mother, she better shut up and back away. If it's my trainer then by all means give me feedback and encouragement (like a drill sergeant if needs be)
 If you are living with others, how do you handle the problem of you having special diet meals while others have their usual meals?
I DON'T handle it at all. that's why I keep regaining the weight because my mother is a great cook and thinks its her life mission to feed people
 How do you cope with eating less? For some people it really hurts and is like hell. For some others, they enjoy the light feeling. How about you?
get a headache - basically I'm like the cookie monster if I miss a meal
 Could you warn us about some diet methods you got involved with that did not work?
protein shake diet (whew was that bad)
Atkins diet (my oh my - that was the pits)
 Could you tell us some diet methods you got involved with that did work.
seeing a terrific nutritionist for six months and learning to combine the various food groups at each meal and also correct portion sizes
 Where do you stand on the subject of exercise?
I'm lazy as hell. Getting started is the hardest part, but once I get going I'm a fiend - which usually results in an injury, hence why I'm a yo-yo dieter/exerciser.
 Is there anything you`d care to say about diets?
I don't care for them. I believe in eating healthy and being fit
